Cancellation and refunds
These terms apply to finishing deposits paid on this website to BUILD IT DEVELOPMENT LIMITED, company number 07562253. Quote requests that are not paid are not contracts for services and can be ignored without a cancellation form.
What you bought
Each PayPal payment is a deposit for one named finish category. The deposit is credited in full. It buys one included site attendance of up to 4 hours of finishing labour in that scope, at the UK address you supplied, plus a written note of any remaining work. We agree a visit date in writing after payment, once we know the postcode and access. Paying today reserves the job, not a clock time on a specific day.
- Snagging & completion — £350.00. £350 for snagging & completion work at the UK address you supply. That pays for one visit of up to 4 hours against the items on your list, credited in full against that job.
- Joinery & second-fix — £420.00. £420 for joinery & second-fix work at the UK address you supply. That pays for one visit of up to 4 hours on doors, frames and timber edges, credited in full against that job.
- Wall & ceiling decoration — £380.00. £380 for wall & ceiling decoration at the UK address you supply. That pays for one visit of up to 4 hours of preparation and painting on the surfaces you describe, credited in full against that job.
- Handover making-good — £320.00. £320 for handover making-good at the UK address you supply. That pays for one visit of up to 4 hours of punch-list work before keys, a tenancy start or sale photographs, credited in full against that job.
Any balance due = quoted extra labour + quoted extra materials. The deposit you already paid is credited in full and is never charged twice. If you decline a later quotation, the balance due is £0.
If the included visit is not enough to finish the job, we put the extra work in writing first — hourly rate, estimated hours and any materials. Nothing extra starts until you accept that quotation.
The service begins when we start the included attendance at the address you gave, or when we start writing up the remaining-works note if we cannot attend. Paying on PayPal does not by itself start the service or book a calendar date.
Your 14-day right to cancel
For a deposit bought at a distance you may cancel within 14 days, starting the day after PayPal captures the payment. You do not have to give a reason.
How to cancel: send a clear statement to info@savi-mex.com, or post it to The Mount, Farleigh Road, Cliddesden, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG25 2JL, United Kingdom, or use the standard form below. The deadline is met if you send the notice before the 14 days end.
When the deposit is refunded
If you cancel before we start the service, we refund the deposit in full. The refund is made through PayPal to the same funding source, within 14 days of the day we receive your cancellation notice. The payment record is in your PayPal account.
If you asked us to start during the cooling-off period and we have started but not finished, we refund the deposit minus a reasonable amount for the labour already supplied (pro rata against the included 4 hours). If you asked us to start and the included attendance is fully performed during the cooling-off period, you lose the right to cancel that service and the deposit is not refunded.
If we cannot reasonably attend the UK postcode you gave, or we decline the work as outside finishing, we refund the deposit in full.
When you lose the right to cancel
You lose the statutory right to cancel if, during the cooling-off period, you asked us to start, we fully performed the included attendance, and you acknowledged that you would lose the right once the service was fully performed. Extra works you later accept in a written quotation are a separate agreement; they are not started until you accept that quotation.
